PEN/Opp is an international online magazine established in 2011 by Swedish PEN with the aim of giving space to writers and journalists who are not allowed to publish in their home countries. Today, it’s a unique platform for discussing freedom of expression, literature, culture and politics from a global perspective.

PEN/Opp is available in both Swedish and English. Many of the texts are also published in original language. To date, we have published texts by 320 authors from 55 countries. PEN/Opp is red in about 150 countries. The magazine is published with the help of contributions from SIDA, PEN International and the Swedish National Arts Council.
